Eight Bangladeshi Infiltrators About To Board Chennai Express Apprehended In Guwahati By Railway Police

Acting firmly against illegal infiltrators, Railway Police sleuths nabbed eight suspected Bangladeshi nationals from the Guwahati railway station, reports The Times of India.

Forged Aadhaar cards and a few cell phones with Bangladeshi SIM cards were recovered from their possession . All of arrested hail from villages in Chittagong district.

All of them were to board a Chennai bound train and were apprehended at around 1400 hrs in the morning. The Bangladeshi nationals were apprehended as part of a joint operation of the Government Railway Police and Border Branch Staff.

The infiltrators said that they entered Assam through the porous Indo-Bangladesh border neat Agartala, Tripura, two days ago, and then travelled to Guwahati in a bus.

The eight held are identified as -- Akram Hussain of Holodia, Dilwer Hussain of Korolia Takia, Rubel Hussain, Sobuj Hussain and Kamal Hussain of Uttar Jalanti, Manir Hussain of Bagan Bazar, Abu Taher of Korolia Takia and Manir Hussain of Chittagong.
