Getting ahead of Chennai, Guntur and Lucknow in terms of employability is India’s silicon city Bengaluru. According a report published titled India Skills Report 2019, the city is witnessing the employability because of the combined efforts of the state government, industry and academia. According to the report, the state is the second highest in terms of hiring activity.
Due to the balance between the three, Bengaluru has managed to get ahead of the other competitors it has. Furthermore, the employers in Bengaluru keep engaging in re-skilling the workforce to keep them up to date. That apart, women have chosen Bengaluru as the number one choice to work among all the other cities. Women have been contributing significantly in fields of banking, hospitality, IT, travel and tourism etc.
Times of India quoted Ankit Mishra, who works as an international bank employee as saying, “There are three factors why I migrated to this city — good salary package, safety and motivating work culture. There are many ways to stay positive at work.”
They survey has been a collaborative effort of Wheebox, PeopleStrong and CII. It had been supported by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
