Family Of Slain Girl Nikita Claims Accused Tauseef Was Pressurising Her To Become A Muslim And Marry Him

A family member of 21-year-old girl Nikita who was shot dead in Ballabgarh has alleged that the main accused Tauseef was pressurising her to become a Muslim and wanted to marry her.
The family member claims that the accused was pressurising her to convert to Islam and when she had refused committed a crime about two years ago. As per reports, the accused had kidnapped Nikita in 2018 but the families had struck up a compromise.
The family member adds that even after the matter ended the accused kept calling her he to demand that she convert. As per reports, Nikita had stopped taking his calls and proceeded to block his number.
He subsequently tried to kidnap Nikita and when the attempt failed, he shot her dead.
As per ACB Ballabgarh Jaiveer Rathi, the accused Tauseef hails from Sohna and Nikita's family members had filed a molestation and harassment complaint against him a few months ago.
"One of the accused identified as Taufeeq (now identified as Tauseef) hailing from Sohna was known to the victim and a complaint against him had been lodged by the victim’s kin a few months ago for harassment and molestation but a compromise had been reached", Rathi has been quoted as saying.
