A day after Apple announced its new range of smartphones iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR, the company has come under criticism for being sexist as feminist slam the models for being too big for women to hold reports Daily Mail.

The display size of all the newly introduced models are above 5.8 inches, considerably bigger than its previous iterations of the likes of iPhone SE. A feminist named Caroline Criado Perez had earlier complained that the iPhone 6 (4.7 inch model of iPhone) gave her repetitive strain injury.

As soon as the new model was announced two smaller models were withdrawn from Apple website. Feminists say that the average hand size of a woman is an inch less than that of a man and Apple had designed its new phones without keeping a woman in mind.

Other critics slam Apple citing the lack of representation of women in the hierarchy and gender pay gap of 24 per cent as an example of Apple being a men biased company and their design choices reflecting the same.

Every year Apple product announcement attracts a lot of comments for its high price tag and new technology innovations. The recent developments had now put Apple in the centre of a new debate.
