Close to 20 per cent of Flipkart’s employees are hunting for jobs on the site ‘Naukri’, Deccan Chronicle has reported. Close to 6,500 employees of the total strength (30,000) of Flipkart and its subsidiaries are searching for jobs according to the report.
Among these, 5,275 employees who are currently working in Flipkart. 700 employees of Myntra and 519 from Jabong are on the job hunt. Half of Jabong’s employees might be hunting for an alternative career as per the numbers. These employees belong to logistics, testing, software, business analysis and data analysis departments.
Flipkart’s logistics arm Ekart and its payments venture PhonePe are also staring at a mass exodus. The number for Ekart and PhonePe are 188 and 76 respectively. Some of these employees are currently in the top levels of management.
Most of these employees have opened a profile in the past two or three months. If the employees of Flipkart and its subsidiaries exit, the company’s future plans for expansion could be adversely affected. Binny Bansal’s recent exit is said to be one of the reasons for the trend observed among Flipkart employees.

Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
