‘Free Balochistan’ Banners On More Than 100 London Buses Irks Pakistan

The 'Free Balochistan' campaign - launched by the World Baloch Organization (WBO) just months ago - has now found its way to London, with more than 100 buses in the city carrying promotional banners that say "Free Balochistan", "Save The Baloch People" and "Stop Enforced Disappearances", Times of India has reported.
Pakistan, which was visibly irked, has conveyed its displeasure to the envoy of the United Kingdom to Islamabad.
The banners first appeared on taxis in the city and were removed after orders issued by UK foreign office following Islamabad’s complaint.
Members of the Baloch community in the UK had protested the removal of their slogans from taxis saying it was an attack on their freedom of expression. Pakistan was acting like a bully by stifling and censoring the voices of Baloch people across the world, community leaders said.
Upping the ante on 13 November, the community moved its promotions to the iconic double-decker buses in London.
Pakistan had also complained when similar posters were seen on basses in Switzerland, accusing India of funding and supporting the campaign.
