Odisha Police’s constable Niladri Bihari Dadhia has successfully cracked the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) exam, securing the 97th rank, ANI reported.

Following his success, he was given a hearty welcome in his native Malkangiri village. Dadhia had joined the police force as a constable in 2003 to support his family, and has been aiming for bigger goals ever since.

ANI quoted Dadhia as saying, “I have cracked the exam and have opted for Odisha Police Services. If I get selected for OPS and get posted in Malkangiri district, I would work for everyone, especially for the poor people. I will work with dedication to help people.”

Due to his active role in the anti-Maoist operations, he says that it was a bit difficult to set aside time for studies. He was later moved to the special security wing of the Odisha police After being appointed as a Protective Service Officer (PSO) he stated finding time to study at night once his shift was over.

He cleared the preliminary exam in February, and subsequently the mains which was conducted between 18 and 25 July. His efforts finally bore fruits when he successfully cracked the interview which Finally, he managed to crack the interview conducted this month.
