Ayodhya Deepotsav has created a Guinness World Record for lighting 3,01,152 earthen lamps, on the bank of River Sarayu, ANI has reported. These diyas (earthen lamps) were lit at ‘Ram Ki Paidi’ .
The First Lady of South Korea Kim Jung Sook was the chief guest at the event. She paid tributes to Queen Heo Memorial. Queen Heo is a princess who went to Korea from Ayodhya as a bride. The event also cemented the historical ties between India and South Korea. Queen Heo is also known as Suriratna.
Princess Suriratna was the daughter of a king of Ayodhya. The king had a dream, where God asked him to send his 16-year-old daughter to marry King Kim Suro of Geumgwan Gaya. Some reports have also suggested that a genetic discovery in South Korea has claimed that Koreans might have an Indian ancestor 2,000 years ago.

The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
