From his safe haven at London, Indian businessmen Vijay Mallya who is facing charges of financial crimes, is now reeling to sell off his horses and the stud farm in the outskirts of Bengaluru, at Kunigal, Bangalore Mirror has reported.

Reportedly, Blazing Saddles, promoted by Saket Bahuguna, Chief Legal Officer of Indiabulls, is interested in acquiring the farm.

At an auction held about a couple of months ago, Niraj Tyagi and Vikas Sachdeva, who represent Blazing Saddles bought some of the best horses, including some classics. The farm has produced some of the best racing horses such as the Desert God. Mallya himself is credited of winning more than 100 races, including some classics.

More than 50 horses have been sold from the stud farm already. And at the auction, United Racing and Bloodstock Breeders Limited (URBBL) sold all the 55 horses. In fact, Mallya plans to sell the remaining ones as well with some classic favourites of his in the list too.

Now, Bahuguna is eyeing to acquire the stud farm as well. However, advising strongly against acquisition is Zeyn Mirza, Managing Director of URBBL who says that the acquisition is not easy since Government of Karnataka has given the farm on lease for 30 years, and in the next four years, the lease will be terminated. Mallya acquired the farm from the government in 1992.

Despite warnings from the IT Department, it is said that Saket has enough clout in the political circles to get an extension on the lease.
