Andhra Pradesh has topped in the employability rankings among Indian states, with its engineering graduates ranking at 63.11 per cent, up from 42.08 per cent last year, a release said on Thursday.

An exercise that spread across 3,200 universities and professional institutions in the country showed that, when compared to the previous year, MBA and polytechnic graduates' employability has upped to 47.18 per cent and 45.90 per cent from 44.90 per cent and 35.85 per cent respectively.
MD K Sambasiva Rao, CEO of the Andhra Pradesh Skill Development Corporation, said the corporation's steps to create market-driven training programmes were finally making a readily available talent pool.
The APSSDC has plans to expand its activities in collaboration with academia, industry and training agencies to make Andhra the skill capital of the country, Rao added.
