Google Tez
Cashing in on India’s growing digital payments sector, search engine giant Google has launched it’s own payments app. Named ‘Tez’, the app is available for Android and runs on the National Payment Corporation of India’s (NPCI)‘s Unified Payments Interface (UPI).
Google has also announced that there will be newer features such as card-based payments in the near future and that the app is part of their efforts to building a ‘cashless India’ as part of Prime Minister Modi’s Digital India programme.
