Google announced its "Launchpad Accelerator" mentorship programme for start-ups using Artificial Intelligence (AI)/ Machine Learning (ML) in India on 26 December, India Today has reported. The last date for applying to the programme is 31 January.
"Our Launchpad Accelerator programme is bringing best of our expertise, platforms, tools and core strengths including Machine Learning and AI, to help Indian start-ups build, scale and grow their offering," Product Manager, Launchpad Accelerator India Paul Ravindranath has said.
Further, he added that the first batch of Launchpad Accelerator India had witnessed founders hailing from tier-II and tier-III cities who were using AI and ML to solve India’s problems.
Every Google Launchpad Accelerator class consists of start-ups (up to 10) who receive mentorship and support from Google in product strategy, AI/ML, Cloud, user experience (UX), Android, web and marketing. Start-ups also receive Google Cloud credits from $20,000 to $100,000 each.
The shortlisted entrepreneurs will attend the boot-camp in Bengaluru in March and there will be follow-up engagements over April and May to address their specific challenges.
Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
