‘Hand’ Is Shaken: Congressman Ramesh Jarkiholi Confirms He Will Quit Party After Bitter Feud; Says He Will Make It ‘Pay’

Upset over being dropped after the Cabinet rejig in Karnataka, Belagavi strongman Ramesh Jarkiholi has confirmed his decision to quit the Congress party. A couple of days back, he had informed the media that he will be tendering his resignation in four or five days. His brother Satish Jarkiholi has been inducted into the Cabinet.
Deccan Chronicle quoted Ramesh as saying, “You created a villain out of me and described the villain as a hero. You (media) did irreparable damage to me and my career. People will not forgive you.”
He has been adamant on sharing any further information with the press. Earlier, he claimed that he had the support of 14 MLAs and that his resignation would cost the party a lot. Deccan Chronicle reported that his resignation is unlikely to happen since his family has received a berth in the Cabinet. His future, after resignation will seem uncertain.
A video leaked a few days ago went viral where he was seen to be telling his supporters that he along with the support of a few MLAs will be resigning from the party. Many Congress leaders such as former home minister Ramalinga Reddy have been disgruntled with the party for ignoring them from the Cabinet.
