All the medical staff - from doctors and nurses down to fourth class workers in Haryana government hospitals - which is involved in caring and curing for Covid-19 patients will get double the salary for the period they are involved in this fight against Coronavirus.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar made this announcement in a press briefing today (9 April).
There are 170 Covid-19 patients in the state with highest numbers being reported from Nuh district, the centre from where Tablighi Jamaat movement started in the last century.
Apart from Nuh, three other districts have reported cases in double digits - Gurugram, Faridabad and Palwal. In the last two districts, overwhelming majority of the cases are linked to Jamaat event in Nizamuddin Markaz.
