Haryana: Vedanta Sets Up 100-Bed COVID Care Facility In Gurugram, To Set Up Similar Facilities In Five Other States

Mining and metals tycoon, Anil Agarwal led Vedanta Limited has set up a 100-bed medical facility in Haryana’s Gurugram to bolster the State’s capacity to cope with the surging cases of COVID-19, reports Economic Times.
The facility has been set up at Tau Devi Lal Stadium. As many as 90 beds at the facility are equipped with oxygen support and another 10 are equipped with ventilator support for critical patients.
Issuing a statement, Agarwal said, “We are working closely with government bodies and local administration to provide medical facilities and hospital care to those in need.”
Inaugurating the facility, State’s Chief Minister (CM) Manohar Lal Khattar said, “While the government is doing everything possible to help the people, support from corporates such as Vedanta goes a long way to enhance our efforts to provide the best medical facilities for those affected by the pandemic.”
Meanwhile, it should also be noted that besides the Gurugram facility, Vedanta is also setting up similar COVID-19 care facilities in Rajasthan, Karnataka, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Tamil Nadu.
