Congress President Rahul Gandhi (@INCIndia/Twitter)
Residents belonging to Jagdishpur which falls under the Amethi Lok Sabha constituency have complained that the Congress President who adopted the village in 2014 under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana has done no work for their development.
In a video shared by Senior Editor of Swarajya, Arihant Pawariya a villager can be heard complaining about Rahul Gandhi’s lack of effort in developing the region.
The villager who has been a traditional Congress voter can be heard lamenting that Rahul Gandhi has done no work till date and never paid a visit after December 2014.
Despite acknowledging that Rahul Gandhi has failed to do any work, the villager stated that he would, like in the past, vote for the Congress itself.
Other voters, like a vegetable seller who has traditionally been Congress supporters though has openly declared that he would vote for Prime Minister Narendra Modi this time round.
He praised the Prime Minister for his various welfare schemes which allowed him to avail facilities like a house, toilet and availed the direct benefit transfer all without paying any bribe.
