Heat’s On Cheats: Stringent Measures To Be Adopted By UP Government To Check State Board Exam Malpractices

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma has announced that a special software has been designed and a four-step process has been initiated to inspect the menace of cheating in state board exams.
“The UP government intends to curtail the use of unfair means by students while making efforts to improve the quality of education. Owing to efforts of the UP government, use of unfair means has stopped, and the number of students studying in government schools has increased by 18-20 per cent,” said the Deputy Chief Minister.
Centres with a history of record cheating would be strictly monitored, reports Indian Express.
Sharma claimed that there were large-scale irregularities involved while setting up of centres and added that nearly 11 lakh students, reportedly from foreign countries like Bangladesh and Nepal, skipped the exams. This year, the number of students from foreign countries has decreased drastically and remains negligible.
Lauding the efforts of the Yogi government, Sharma added that the government had opened 205 schools and appointed many teachers. Furthermore, he said that from the following academic session, one ‘Adarsh Vidyalaya’ (model school) shall be opened in every division of the state.
