The Karnataka state government has sounded a high alert across the state after the National Investigative Agency (NIA) arrested a suspected terrorist in Doddaballapura, officials said on Thursday (27 June), the Hindustan Times reports.
Habibur Rehman Sheikh, a Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) jihadists, wanted in 2014 Burdwan blast case has been identified as the arrested terrorist.
“I had a meeting with the CID officials and as a precautionary measure a high-alert has been sounded across Karnataka,” the Minister told media.

Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
