Pakistan based anti-India terrorist outfit Hizbul Mujahideen on Sunday (28 June) issued threat to abduct the families and relatives of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) cops who had recently arrested the mother of a slain terrorist in a criminal case, reports Times of India.

Naseema Bano, the mother of killed Hizbul terrorist Tauseef Ahmed had been arrested by the police on 20 June from South Kashmir's Rampora Qaimoh area which lies in Shopian district. She was arrested under the stringent provisions of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) over recruitment of young boys into Hizbul.

It should also be noted that even Tauseef's sister is wanted by the police for partaking in unlawful activities.

The threat by Hizbul Mujahideen was issued in the form of a letter which read that its cadres were duty-bound to safeguard the family members of Tauseef who the security forces had successfully gunned down in May 2018 along with a Hizbul commander Sadam Paddar and another terrorist called Muhammad Rafi.

In the letter, Hizbul Mujahideen warned that they will treat the kins of policemen living over Kashmir the same way as Tauseef's family was being treated by them.
