The Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) on Tuesday (19 May) launched an artificial intelligence (AI) powered mock test smartphone app for students who are set to appear for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main and NEET 2020 examinations which will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in coming months, reports Livemint.
Named 'National Test Abhyas', the application intends to provide students across the nation access to high-quality tests, free of cost, to help them prepare for the JEE, NEET, and other such competitive examinations.
While launching the application, Union Minister for Human Resources Development Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said, "This timely launch is designed to ensure that no student is left behind in getting exposure to practice testing, especially when student’s loss due to closure of educational institutions is to be compensated and NTA’s Test-Practice Centers are shut due to the Covid-19 lockdown."
The NTA plans to release a new mock test on the application each day, which the students can download and attempt offline. Once completed, the students would have to go back online and submit their answers to view the test report.
To ensure a smooth experience, NTA has also instituted live support from 10 am in the morning to midnight for the first seven days so that any issues faced by the students are proactively addressed.
