Hyperloop Plans To Begin Full Scale Passenger Operations By 2019; Here’s What The Capsule Will Look Like

Hyperloop Transportation Technologies (HyperloopTT) has unveiled the first look of its full scale passenger capsule in Puerto de Santa Maria, Spain which built by Airtificial. The capsule will be taken to the Toulouse R&D facility of the HyperloopTT for further optimisation, Global Railway Review has reported.
The capsule has been named as Quintero One and is constructed of a dual layer smart composite material called Vibranium. Airtificial, HyperloopTT’s partner, build it at its Southern Spain aerospace facility. Airtificial has been formed by the merger of two other companies Carbures and Inypsa.
A collaborative effort between the HyperloopTT and PriestmanGoode resulted in the award winning design of the capsule. The capsule got the Gold award at London Design Awards 2017.
The capsule Quintero One has a length of 32 metres, with inner cabin of 15 m and a weight of five tonnes.
Airtificial co-Founder and Chairman, Rafael Contreras said, “We have unveiled a new type of transportation vessel built with an industry high percentage of composite, which makes the Hyperloop capsule perhaps the safest transportation vehicle in the world.”
The capsule will now be delivered to the R&D facility of HyperloopTT in Toulouse, France where it will go through additional assembly and system integrations before being ready for commercial tracks.
