IAF Pilots Conduct Test Flights Of MiG-35 Fighter Jets At Russian Air Show Ahead of PM Modi’s Visit

As part of the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS 2019 air show being held in Zukhovski, Russia, ace pilots of the Indian Air Force (IAF) conducted test flights of the MiG 35 fighter jet, reports The Economic Times.
Test pilots G/C BS reddy and W/C FL Roy flew two sorties of the MiG aircraft which is a 4++ generation multi-role combat platform. This comes after IAF's Chief of Staff, B S Dhanoa had conducted an inspection of the aircraft on his visit.
IAF's delegation to the air show was led by Air Marshal Amit Dev, who is the Director General Air Operations. IAF's pilots during the visit also explored the fifth-generation Sukhoi 57E fighter jet, which is the export variant of the supersonic and stealth platform.
Meanwhile, it should be noted that it is being expected that Russia might push for the sale of the aforementioned aircraft platforms to the IAF when Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi visits Russia next week to meet with President Vladimir Putin at a summit to be held in Vladivostok.
