In New Delhi for treatment at the All India Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav today (29 March) claimed that Nitish Kumar was losing his grip over Bihar.

Earlier, on board Shatabdi Express, Yadav, referring to Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav, Bahujan Samajwadi Party leader Mayawati and TMC leader and West Bengal chief minister Mamta Banerjee, said that "they are going in the right direction." The RJD supremo criticised Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi and said that PM has not fulfilled promises.

On reaching Delhi, Yadav, in a brief interaction with the media claimed that Nitish is finished. “Uska kuchh nahin chal raha hai. Aur BJP Bihar mein aag lagaaye hue hai." Leaving no opportunity to slam the BJP, he said that the party was setting Bihar ablaze.

Convicted in fodder Scam, Lalu was brought to Delhi from Ranchi on Shatabdi Express under tight security. Jagran reported that Yadav's request to fly to Delhi on his expenses was rejected by Ranchi's Hotwar jail, and that, on Shatabdi, tea made of buffalo milk was arranged from railway canteen for the RJD leader.

Earlier today, he urged all opposition leaders to drop their egos and unite against the government. He said, "Jahan bhi rahoonga, is kaam ke liye main laga rahoonga (where ever I am, I will keep working towards this)."
