Pakistan and China are trying to designate Indian nationals as terrorists under the UN Security Council’s 1267 Al Qaida sanctions committee, reports Hindustan Times.

Officials in the national security agencies and South Block are monitoring these developments which they think is a retaliation to India’s success in designating Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar as a global terrorist on 1 May with assistance from the US and France.

Last week, Pakistan and China moved the 1267 Al Qaida sanctions committee to designate two Indians as global terrorists. They have accused them of past terror attacks in Balochistan and Peshawar, and even registered FIRs against them.

So far attempts have been made to label four Indians as terrorists by Pakistan and who were immediately evacuated by Indian security agencies from Afghanistan.

One of the Indian is accused of being a terrorist is Andhra Pradesh resident Appaji Angara, who was working as a software developer in a bank in Kabul, Afghanistan.

He has been implicated by Pakistan for terror attack on Mall Road in Lahore on 13 February, 2017, along with the Jamat-ul-Ahrar (JuA), a splinter group of the Tehreek-e-Taliban, Pakistan. He has also been accused for an attack on Army School in Peshawar on 16 December, 2014.

Other Indians accused by Pakistan are Gobinda Patnaik Duggivalasa , Ajoy Mistry in October and Venu Madhav Dongara.
