India, Japan Set To Sign Key Military Logistics Pact 'ACSA' Next Month To Boost QUAD Engagement

India and Japan are set to sign off a key military logistics pact, taking forward the multi-faceted and growing bilateral relationship between the two nations, reports Hindustan Times.
The pact is expected to be signed during the India-Japan summit between Prime Minister (PMs) Narendra Modi and Shinzo Abe which is scheduled to be held early next month. The summit was earlier expected to be held in October, but has since been advanced and is likely now be held on 10 September tentatively.
The signing of the military logistics pact gains much significance as India has already signed similar military logistics pacts with the other two members of the QUAD - Australia and the United States (US). Belatedly, the QUAD nations have significantly and overtly upped their engagement to counter the Chinese President Xi Jinping's regime's wolf-warrior diplomacy.
