Indian Army Finishes Constructing Strategic Bridge Over Galwan River Which China Tried To Stop

The Indian Army has finished constructing a 60 metre long bridge over the Galwan river in Eastern Ladakh despite attempts by China to scuttle it, Hindustan Times has reported.
As per the report, the bridge will allow the Indian Army to move infantry across the river to strengthen its hold over the strategic region. It will also allow the army to fortify the crucial 255 km long Darbuk to Daulat Beg Oldie road.
This construction feat was achieved by the Indian Army engineers despite hostile manoeuvres by the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) in a bid to get them to abandon the project.
The report quotes a senior Army officer as saying that the work on the bridge did not stop despite the ongoing hostilities between the two countries.
A government officer quoted in the report also said that work on strategic border projects will continue despite China's attempts to stall them.
