Indian Army To Set Up Quarantine Facilities For 1,500 Individuals To Contain The Spread Of COVID-19

The Indian Army is set to establish quarantine facilities for as many as 1,500 individuals at different locations across the nation as the number of cases of COVID-19 infection continue to surge outside of China, reports Hindustan Times.
The quarantine facilities are likely to come up in Jaisalmer, Suratgarh, Secunderabad, Chennai and Kolkata. The Army is further said to have been instructed the service personnel to make use of shopping complexes within cantonments and military stations and avoid visits to crowded areas including malls and cinema halls.
The Army has also issued an advisory containing detailed instructions for the actions to be taken at various military stations, army formations and service hospitals.
The military hospitals have also been instructed to establish isolation wards to prevent any possibility of further transmission of the virus. The hospitals have been instructed to work in synergy with the local medical authorities and designated Indian Council of Medical Research laboratories.
