The Indian cricket team management has complained that fast bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj have faced racial abuse from the Australian crowd during the ongoing test match at Sydney, reports Cricbuzz.

The abuses were reportedly hurled at the two pacers on the second and third day of the match.

Captain Ajinkya Rahane and spinner Ravichandran Ashwin led a bunch of senior players to inform umpires Paul Reiffel and Paul Wilson that Siraj and Bumrah have been at the receiving end of such misbehavior from the attending audience. The umpires held discussions with the concerned players along with certain security in-charges for around five minutes post stumps.

Thereafter, the security officials from the Indian side, the International Cricket Council (ICC) and those on the ground held discussions as the visiting team stayed in the dressing room for some period of time. The ICC is handling the issue for the time being as further developments are awaited regarding the same.
