Uttar Pradesh’s Rae Bareli based Modern Coach Factory (MCF) of the Indian Railways has manufactured 1,402 coaches in the ongoing financial year, crossing the milestone production mark of 1,400 coaches within just nine months, reports Asian News International (ANI).
The development gains significance as the MCF had produced a total of 1,425 coaches in the previous year, which was in itself a record as it had more than doubled its production from 711 coaches achieved in 2017-18.
Further, it should be noted that the MCF has produced a whopping 220 coaches in just the bygone month of december 2019, surpassing all previous monthly production records.
Hailing the development, MCF's general manager Vinay Mohan Shrivastava and the principal chief mechanical engineer Anoop Kumar have credited the entire team of the MCF for the hardwork and dedication. Also, the MCF is certain of achieving its yearly target of coach production.
