One of the most important pilgrimages for Hindus will get much easier with Indian Railways initiating a project to connect Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri with a rail network.
Survey on laying rail tracks to connect these four pilgrimage spots would commence soon, Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu said. The char dhams draw lakhs of pilgrims every summer.
