Amid demands for the Indian government to consider Israeli-type retaliation, Israel offered India unconditional support to defend itself, especially against terrorism and asserted that there is no limit to its assistance, reports The New Indian Express.

The comments were made by newly-appointed Israeli envoy Dr Ron Malka while responding to a question on what extent will Jerusalem go to help India which has been a victim of terrorism.

Earlier, on 14 February, Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) killed 40 CRPF personnel in one of the deadliest attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. Following this heinous attack there have been growing demands that government should explore Israeli-type anti-terror operations.

“Whatever India needs to defend itself there is no limit. We are here to help our close friend India to defend itself specially against terrorism because terrorism is the problem of the world and not only of India and Israel,” Malka told PTI in an interview, reports The New Indian Express.

Malka, emphasising on the need for the world to collaborate on fighting and eliminating terrorism, said, “So, we help India, share our knowledge, share our technique because we really want to help our really important friend.”

He said that the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told him that India was a very “important partner, very important friend and he wants to collaborate to enhance ties and deepen them to share our knowledge.”

Further, he said that Israel, by strengthening India, was contributing to the world stability and sustainability as India plays a vital role in the world stability.
