India’s Recovery-To-Death Ratio Against COVID-19 Improves From To 90:10, Says Health Ministry

Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) revealed on Monday (4 May) that the nation's outcome ratio against COVID-19 pandemic has improved from 80:20 on 17 April to 90:10 now, reports Times of India.
The output ratio is the ratio of recoveries and deaths and indicates the state of clinical management of patients affected with the disease. The surge in the vital ratio comes on the day when India witnessed the highest figure of single-day recoveries so far at 1,074 patients.
The MoHFW also shared that the doubling time of confirmed cases has slowed down to 12 days which is an improvement from a fortnight ago when the doubling time was 8.2 days. It should also be noted that prior to the imposition of the nationwide lockdown, the doubling time stood at a mere 3.4 days.
While sharing the positive developments, the MoHFW also emphasised that there should be no lowering of the guard as the lockdown eases.
Joint Secretary at the Ministry Lav Agarwal said, "We should follow protocol and guidelines related to physical distancing, follow preventive measures like hand hygiene and environmental hygiene and deal with the COVID-19 by being careful, aware and alert."
