A reply to RTI query in 2013 has revealed that almost 9,000 orders for interception of phones and 500 emails were issued every month during the UPA rule, reports The Times of India.
"Isn't it strange who approved the procedure put in place the system is talking about the snooping Raj", TOI quoted an MHA official as saying.
