The Interpol has issued a Red Corner Notice (RCN) against fugitive economic offender Nirav Modi's younger brother Nehal Deepak Modi once again after the latter had recently lost the appeal against the RCN's previous issuance by the internal police cooperation body, reports Economic Times.

Modi, a Belgian citizen is one of the prime accused wanted by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the case of massive fraud allegedly committed by his elder brother against the state-owned Punjab National bank (PNB).

In CBI's supplementary charge sheet, junior Modi has been accused of destroying evidence in Dubai to cover the tracks of the fraud allegedly committed by his elder brother. This evidence includes mobile phones, laptops and the server used. Following this, he had fled to Cairo. He is the accused number 27 in the charge sheet.

It should be noted that Nehal Modi had lost the appeal against the RCN issued against him in the Commission for Control of Interpol's Files (CCF) after CBI had provided a strong counter-argument against his plea.
