INX Media Scam: Situation Worsens For Chidambaram As Special CBI Court Extends Custody Till 30 August

Chidambaram, one of the main accused in the INX Media scam was arrested by the CBI on 21 August from his Delhi residence. He was produced before a CBI court the next day and sent to the investigative agency’s custody till 26 August.
Today he had suffered a setback when the Supreme Court dismissed his bail plea by calling it pointless as he had already been arrested by CBI in the matter.
