ISRO Locates Vikram Lander On Moon Surface Via Thermal Imaging, Continues Efforts To Establish Contact

In a major breakthrough on Sunday (8 September) ISRO managed to locate the Vikram Lander on the lunar surface and also clicked its thermal image.
Now as informed by ISRO Chief K SIvan, efforts are on to establish communication with the lander but no contact has yet been made. The space agency has promised to keep the nation posted with regular updates.
“It must have been a hard-landing. We do not know if the Vikram module was damaged during the landing on the Lunar surface”, K Sivan was quoted as saying.
K Sivan had earlier asserted that the space agency would continue efforts to establish a link with Vikram for the next 14 days.
Regardless of the hitch in the final stage of the mission, the ISRO chief has asserted that the overall mission is very close to achieving a 100 per cent success rate.
