IT Department Strikes Gold? ‘KGF’ Movie Crew, Popular Restaurant Chain Saravana Bhavan Raided

The Income Tax department today (3 January) raided the properties of Kannada film actors and producers, reports The New Indian Express.
Many famous actors including Shivarajkumar, Puneet Rajkumar, Sudeep and ‘KGF’ fame Yash, fell under the gaze of IT department.
Producer of the recently released 'KGF', Vijay Kiragandhur, CR Manohar and Rockline Venkatesh were also raided. The raids were carried out at 28 different locations across the city by multiple teams of officials.
The Income Tax officials reportedly raided Puneet Rajkumar's residence at Sadashivanagar, Venkatesh's house at Mahalakshmi Layout and other locations.
Meanwhile, four top restaurant chains in Chennai were also raided by the Income Tax department under allegations of tax evasion. The offices and residences of the directors of Saravana Bhavan, Anjappar, Grand Sweets and Hot Breads were raided and are popular restaurant chains in the city having branches abroad too.
