Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited is silently attempting to capture the broadband services before the launch of the highly-awaited Reliance Jio GigaFiber. The state-run operator has revised the pricing of its new fibre network broadband service Bharat Fiber, Telecom Talk reports.

BSNL has revised two plans. The first plan is Rs 777, which used to offer 500 GB of data has now been revised to Rs 849 per month with 600 GB data at 50 Mbps speed. Subscribers are also getting unlimited calls.

Another pack which has undergone major revision is the Rs 3,999 plan, which used to offer 50 GB data per day. After revision, the plan costs Rs 4,499 and offers 55 GB on a daily basis at 100 Mbps speed.

The plans would directly compete against Reliance Jio. According to previous reports, the latest telecom sector entrant would offer 100 GB data at 50 Mbps for Rs 600 per month.
