In a major setback against Pakistan infested terrorism and violence in the Kashmir Valley, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday (27 July) charge-sheeted six members of a Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) based infiltration and transportation module, reports Times of India.
Working in close coordination with Pakistan based anti-India terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and the commanders of the concerned launch pads from across the border, the members of the busted module would receive the infiltrated terrorists at Samba and ferry them to South Kashmir for carrying out their nefarious machinations.
All six, who have been charge-sheeted by NIA are Kashmiri locals, hailing from Pulwama, Quazignd and Budgam districts. They have been charged under various sections of stringent UAPA, IPC, Arms Act, Explosive Substances Act and the Indian Wireless Telegraphy Act.
It should be noted that the module had been busted after a truck ferrying three Pakistani terrorists had been stopped for checking at J&K's Nagrota. While the driver and two of his associates had escaped from the scene, the terrorists had opened fire on the security forces, injuring one. All three had been eliminated by the forces there and then.
