In a potential political drama which might kick-start in Madhya Pradesh, the BJP has written to the state Governor Anandiben Patel seeking a special assembly session by claiming that the Kamal Nath led Congress government is now in a minority, New Indian Express has reported.

This development comes a day after the publication of Lok Sabha exit polls in which the NDA has been projected to win a majority. Some exit polls have predicted that the Narendra Modi led NDA may win as many as 368 seats.

In the recently concluded Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections, the Congress had won 113 seats out of 231 while the BJP came a close second with 109 seats. Congress as a result formed the state government by claiming support of two BSP, one SP and four independent MLAs.

The Kamal Nath led government would be vulnerable to collapse if it loses support of the independent or SP-BSP MLAs.
