Government of Karnataka’s Skill Development Department is taking up a project in association with Dassault Systemes India Private Ltd to upgrade four Government Tool Room and Training Centres (GTTC). The cost of the project is estimated at Rs 224 crore, with Rs 203 crore coming from Dassault Systemes and the rest from the state government.

The Hyderabad-Karnataka region will see this as a boost to the local economy, as the centres will be situated at Yadgir, Humnabad, Lingasugur and Hospet, The New Indian Express reported. Dassault will be providing the necessary software and trainers for a period of one year, informed Krishna Byre Gowda, Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj.

Apart from the above, cabinet certificates were issued to the Ministry of Defence, to facilitate completion of eight infrastructural projects. Several civic bodies in Bengaluru will be receiving 45,165 sq m of land from the Ministry of Defence in return for land somewhere else.
