Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal who is facing crucial assembly elections on 8 February described himself as a Kattar Hanuman Bhakt and also recited the Hanuman Chalisa during an interview with News18 India.
Kejriwal made this statement over reportedly being called an anti-Hindu by the BJP. Kejriwal also said that he regularly takes Darshan at a Hanuman temple and proceeded to recite part of the Hanuman Chalisa.
Many on social media refused to buy this new avatar of Kejriwal, by pointing out his hypocrisy over Hinduism.
People have also opined that the Hanuman Bhakt avatar is Kejriwal’s attempt to copy former Congress president Rahul Gandhi who has been described by his party as a Janeudhari Shiv Bhakt.

Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
