Kerala: Re-Polling Ordered In Kannur, Kasaragod Booths After Bogus Voting By CPM And Muslim League Workers

Declaring the polling held on 11 April at five polling stations in Andhra Pradesh and two in Kerala as void, the Election Commission has ordered a re-poll on 19 May, reports Zee News.
The polling held at five polling stations of the Chandragiri Assembly constituency and Chittoor Parliamentary constituency of Andhra Pradesh have been declared void, through an order by the apex polling agency.
The EC has also ordered re-polling in three booths of Kasargod and one in Kannur Lok Sabha constituencies of Kerala on account of bogus voting. It too would take place on 19 May. The candidates are allowed to campaign till Friday evening.
Footage of three women and a man casting votes on more than one occasion at different booths in Kaliassery and Taliparambu was aired across various TV channels on 27 April. At least 13 people are found guilty of bogus voting in these polling booths.
CPI-M and the Indian Union Muslim League workers are among those found guilty.
