A JNU protester on Thursday (10 January) bit senior Delhi police officer Ingit Pratap Singh after she and her comrades were stopped from advancing towards the Parliament during the protest called by left-led JNUSU, India Today has reported.

Southwest Additional DCP Ingit Pratap Singh reportedly managed to free his hand from the jaws of the leftist protester, after much struggle.

The incident is said to have happened when supporters of the left led JNUSU were marching towards Shashtri Bhawan. A scuffle broke out between them and the Delhi police and during the ensuring chaos a woman came and bit the Additional DGP on his left thumb.

After Singh managed to free his hand following much struggle, he was taken to the hospital for a checkup.
