The United States (US) government has started rolling out its Global Entry Program (GEP) for Indians. The GEP enables expedited clearance of pre-approved, low-risk travellers.

On landing at select airports, enrolled members can clear immigration through automated kiosks instead of queuing up at counters to meet an immigration officer. Members only need to allow the system to read their passports, capture their fingerprints and complete a customs declaration. A receipt is then issued and the passenger can proceed.
