Mint has reported that Larsen and Toubro Ltd (L&T) has won the contract to construct the first phase of Terminal-2 at Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru. L&T also constructed the first two runways at the airport. Signing an agreement with Kempegowda International Airport Limited (KIAL), the company has taken up the task of completing the first phase by March 2021.

The capacity of the airport after the completion of Terminal 2 will increase to 4.5 crore annually. That is double the current numbers. It is hinted that the contract might be worth Rs 3,000 crore. This number however, isn’t verified.
