Maharashtra: Following Shiv Sena And NCP, Congress Moves Its MLAs To Mumbai’s JW Marriott Hotel

Amidst the volatile political situation in Maharashtra after swearing-in of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s Devendra Fadnavis and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP)'s Ajit Pawar yesterday (23 November) morning, the Indian National Congress (INC) is moving its MLAs to JW Marriott Hotel in Mumbai, reports Asian News International (ANI).
The development comes after the NCP started to move its MLAs to Mumbai's Hotel Renaissance and claimed that except five of its MLAs, rest all are in its contact, with six on their way to Mumbai, and rest already being in Mumbai.
A similar move was made by Shiv Sena as well yesterday when the party moved its MLAs to Mumbai's Hotel Lalit. After moving the MLAs to the five-star hotel, party supremo Uddhav Thackeray had also held a meeting with his MLAs at the hotel last evening.
It should be noted that the decision of three parties to move their MLAs to hotels in Mumbai comes amidst their plea in the Supreme Court to order the CM Fadnavis' government to prove majority in the Assembly today itself. The Supreme Court is likely to hear the plea today at 11.30 am.
