In a big push for the Government's Make in India policy push and Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi's clarion call for the building of an Atmanirbhar Bharat, technology giant Samsung has completed the construction of an all-new display manufacturing unit in Uttar Pradesh (UP)'s Noida, reports Economic Times.
The development gains much significance as Samsung has shifted its display manufacturing unit from China to India.
A delegation from the company, led by its Southwest Asia President & CEO Ken Kang called upon Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday (20 June). As per an official press release, the delegation said that owing to the better industrial environment and investor-friendly policies, Samsung decided to establish the display manufacturing unit, which was located in China, in Noida.
The delegation mentioned that the construction work displays the commitment towards India and to make UP a manufacturing hub, the official release said. Meanwhile, CM Adityanath assured the delegation that the state government will continue to extend help to the Samsung company in future as well.
