Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and incumbent MLA from Badarpur constituency Narayan Dutt Sharma has alleged that the Deputy (Cy) Chief Minister (CM) Manish Sisodia asked him to shell Rs 10 crore for the party ticket to fight the upcoming Assembly elections, reports Asian News International (ANI).

Sharma also asserted that Sisodia had called him to his house where he had been informed that Ram Singh had offered Rs 20-21 crore for the party ticket from the Badarpur constituency. At his residence, Sisodia had allegedly asked Sharma to shell out Rs 10 crore for the ticket.

"Manish Sisodia called me to his house and said that 20-21 crore were being offered by Ram Singh for the ticket from my constituency, and then proceeded to ask me how much I was ready to cough up. Sisodia asked me for Rs 10 crore, I said that I did not have the money as I am an honest man," Sharma told ANI.

He also said, "I have already resigned from the party. My next goal is to go among the public and unmask the corrupt here. I will fight elections from Badarpur independently against the AAP and candidates from other parties."

It should be noted that former MLA from Badarpur and Congress leader Ram Singh had joined the AAP on Monday (13 January) along with three others in the presence of party supremo and incumbent CM of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal.
