An oil and gas processing plant of state-run ONGC at Uran near Mumbai caught fire today morning (3 September), reports NDTV.
The ONGC tweeted that the fire broke out in a storm water drain of the oil and gas processing plant.
The company stated that the fire services and crisis management team immediately pressed into action. Firefighters are trying to take the situation under control.
The company further informed that the oil processing capacity of the plant is not affected, adding that the gas has been diverted to a plant at Hazira in Gujarat, 330 km away.
